The universe is (very probably) not holographic

Remember a couple of years ago when physicists thought the universe might be a hologram? No? Well, anyway, it turns out the universe is (almost certainly) not a hologram.

  1. Actually, I’m pretty disappointed. I have long thought the universe seemed like a big simulation, and was convinced that the universe was indeed pixelated at the Planck scale. It may still be pixelated on an even smaller scale, but I have no idea how we’d measure it.

  2. Nothing says it isn’t a simulation, just made with quantum energy packets.
